Accident Closes East Main Street at Route 7

State Police responded to the scene of an accident that occurred at the intersection of Route 7 and East Main Street   at approximately 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday evening. The accident involved a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer and a box truck. The box truck overturned and came to rest at the end of East Main Street. Law enforcement from the Clarke County Sheriff’s office closed off the street as well as one eastbound lane of Route 7 traffic while emergency crews worked the scene.

There were no injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident.   Trooper S.A. Sutherland is in charge of the investigation. One citation was issued in connection with the incident.

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 7 and East Main Street. A box truck is overturned in the intersection across from the entrance to Audley Farm. Police and rescue personnel are on the scene but there appear to be no injuries and dispatchers said that the vehicle occupants have declined treatment at the scene. East Main Street is closed to through traffic at the scene of the accident. One lane of eastbound Route 7 is also closed as of 7:45 P.M.

      It’s more like SLOW down, that road is not built for the speed some people try to go!
