Bank of Clarke County opened the doors to its 1 1th branch location on Monday, April 18,201 1. Located at 21 Main Street in Round Hill, Virginia, this branch occupies the building that was formerly Round Hill National Bank for many years. The town has been without a banking institution since 2003 when then-owner BB&T closed the branch and transferred its customers to other locations in other towns.

Full service banking is offered at this new locations, including safe deposit boxes, drive-through service and drive-up ATM, lending and all the other standard products and services offered through Bank of Clarke.

The opening of the Round Hill branch marks the first market expansion for Bank of Clarke County since 1992, when the organization branched outside Clarke County and into the greater Winchester, Virginia market.

President and CEO John Milleson stated that “Loudoun County offers a valuable opportunity to establish a new growth market for Bank of Clarke County. When we branched into Frederick County and Winchester in 1992, we serviced 1.9% of the available deposits in that market (which also includes the County of Clarke). Currently, we are number 2 in that market servicing almost 20% of available deposits. We have been pleased with our growth there and feel it is time to augment that growth with an additional market in which to establish banking relationships”.

Jon Elliott serves as Vice President and Branch Manager. William Orth has been named Assistant Branch Manager. Greg Jay is based in the Round Hill branch as Senior Vice President and Lending Officer. Laura Farris serves as Teller Supervisor and Debbi McGinley Shelton and Loretta Eamich provide teller service.

  1. Don’t get too big. Don’t want you all getting bought out by one of the giant sucko banks

Well Said Sarge, Bank of Clarke County is a great asset for this county, being a small region bank means they help the community. They get to big and some mulistate big bank will try to buy them out.
