Barns Unveils Spectacular Arts Mural

On Sunday the Barns of Rose Hill formally unveiled its much-anticipated ceramic mural celebrating the arts in Clarke County. The long-awaited unveiling did not disappoint!

The mural is an original collaborative work created by many of our region’s most talented artists. The project was designed and managed by Joan Gardiner of Unison, Virginia and Gale Bowman Harlow of Opus Oaks in Berryville, Virginia. Many other local artists and art students contributed to the final work. (See attached photo describing credit.)

“This mural is really terrific” said Barn of Rose Hill Board member Janety Eltinge. “So many people contributed to its success; Joan Gardiner, Gail Bowman Harlow. Bonnie Jacobs organized the hundreds of hours contributed by volunteers.  The mural has been a true community project and that’s what the Barns of Rose Hill are supposed to be about.”

  1. I enjoyed seeing the ceramic mural and the art by Opus Oaks students. I thank the Barns for honoring my stepbrother Bill Whiting with a group display of his paintings.
