Berryville Businesses Unite to Spread Christmas Cheer

Donna DeHart of Boyce was Berryville Businesses $1500 Giveaway  Grand Prize Winner! DeHart, one of 11 winners, took home $250 in Cash & $250 in  Berryville Bucks.

When DeHart learned  over the phone that  she was the grand prize winner of $250 in cash and $250 in  Berryville Bucks from Sherry Craig of Sweet Pea’s Children’s Shop, DeHart immediately began to cry and tell her story.

DeHart battles multiple sclerosis and lives on social security with a very limited income.  Despite her limited income DeHart has recently taken in a homeless person to help during this  very cold winter. Her prayers were that she might to find some  way to find some extra money to buy this person a couple Christmas gifts.

Then DeHart’s daughter, who is away at  college, called to ask if she could bring a female student friend home for the Christmas holiday. DeHart’s daughter said that her friend literally had no place to go for  Christmas.

Of course, DeHart could not say “no”.

Again, her  concerns were about being able to a Christmas gift to her new holiday housemate.

When the call came from Craig that DeHart  was the grand prize winner, DeHart was totally overwhelmed and began  to cry out in thankfulness because she now had the means to be able  to help two people enjoy a very Merry Christmas!
