Boyce Home Destroyed by Fire

A Boyce home was destroyed by a fire late last night. The home was located on Sharon Drive off of West Main St.   Companies from Boyce, Berryville and Winchester responded to the fire. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

  1. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. All family members are safe and unharmed including the animals. The main level was completely destroyed but all items in the basement are unharmed except for water damage. The owner is thankful no one was injured.

  2. Wewerethere says:

I am sure this family will need some assistance. I realize the fire just occurred last night, however, has anything been set up…an address or an organization where to send donations, etc?

    • They are staying with family and have declined assistance offered by the Red Cross.

    • There has been an account set up to help the family. It is at the Bank of Clarke County under Robert Tyler Fire Fund, at 108 W. Main St. Boyce, VA 22620. Thank you so much for your donations. All is so appreciated at this hard time.

  3. Sheryl Reid says:

The Clarke County Red Cross disaster team responded to the fire. The owner of the house was talked and offered Red Cross services. He declined with thanks. The disaster team is on call 24/7 for fires. Anyone interested on becoming a member of this team is urged to call the Red Cross office at 662-5412. Tell the office that you would like to volunteer here in Clarke County.
