The Robotics team participated in the Virginia Regional FIRST (“For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”)  robotics competition at Virginia Commonwealth University  in April. Robotics faculty sponsor  Ed Novak and several student team members demonstrated their robot at Monday’s Clarke County School Board meeting.

While the students were not able to fully engage the robot due to unexpected interference from a wifi hub located in the meeting room, the students took the challenges in stride.

“We encountered many similar kinds of challenges as we built the robot” Novak told the school board. “Each challenge is a learning opportunity for the students.”
