CCHS Students Participate in American Mathematics Competition

347053_mathematicsCongratulations to the all the students who participated in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 10/AMC 12 Contests) at Clarke County High School on February 24.   Both contests were 25-questions, 75-minute multiple-choice contests.   Problems ranged from fairly easy to extremely difficult.   No calculators were used!   These students who participated represent some of the “best and brightest” mathematics students we have have at CCHS!

AMC 12 Contest:

  • Adam Campbell – scored the highest with an overall score of 73.5!
  • Luis Cruz – tied for second with an overall score of 72.0
  • Madeline McKelway – tied for second with an overall score of 72.0

Leah Blight, Daniel Borger, Kevin Broderick, Anna Louthan, Katherine Roberts, Christopher Smalley, and Frederick Twigg also participated.

AMC 10 Contest:

  • Nathan Chatham – scored the highest with an overall score of 84.0!

Also participating were Heidi Crockett, Jessica Isleib, Brogan Jones, Sara Lettie, Conor Mettenburg, Mary Pagington, Courtney Rogers, Logan Trask, and Megan Waring.
