“Celebrating Who We Are” – William Faulkner

Parish House at Christ Church, Millwood,

Parishioner Nancy Talley will read a paper she  presented earlier this month to the Century Club of  Winchester.   Her strictly non-scholarly overview of  the life and work of Nobel winner William Faulkner,  whose books she first read in 1953, is the result of  more than a half-century’s personal puzzling over  the lasting legacy of this Southern literary giant..

Mrs. Talley suggests that, if wine and cheese are  not to be served before her program, those coming  fortify themselves in the Faulknerian manner with a  good shot of Tennessee bourbon or at least a glass of  French vin ordinaire.

Wine and cheese will be served after the program.
