Choir Trip Hinges on Community Support

The Clarke County High School Chamber Choir has been chosen to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia at the National Festival of the States competition this coming May in New York City. The entire choir, including Choir Master Dr. Ryan Keebaugh and chaperones – more than 40 people – are hoping to make the trip.

However, the group is still looking for the funds to help get them to the Big Apple.

“If you have not heard this group sing yet, please don’t miss the benefit concert planned for April 1st at the Barns of Rose Hill” said former Clarke County School Board member Robina Bouffault. “ During my four years on the School Board I heard quite a few high school choirs and I can tell you that this group is exceptional.  They will be representing our Commonwealth – and they need your help!”

The planned trip is estimated to cost approximately $27,000. So far, however, the students have only raised around $14,000.

The price for admission to this concert is $15. This is a great venue to really showcase their talent and hard work! I hope to see a packed audience!
