A message from the Clarke County Future Farmers of America:
With the holidays just around the corner, its time to start thinking about ordering the best citrus available. Over 130 members of the Clarke County FFA chapter will begin its annual fruit sale on October 5th and will continue until November 10th 2010.
Help support our organization by participating in our annual fruit sale! We have partnered with Florida Indian River Groves to provide you with the freshest fruit available.
Your fruit will be harvested the very same day it’s shipped to us, ensuring that you receive fruit that is hours off of the tree. Now that’s fresh!
Now’s the time to pick up a box of Navel Oranges that are sure to be bursting with flavor or a box of sugar-sweet, Indian River Red Grapefruit. And don’t forget your friends, family, and coworkers. Everyone loves fresh fruit from Florida! Clarke County FFA members will begin contacting customers in the area Tuesday Oct. 5th, 2010.
Customers my also order their fruit and cookie dough directly from the Clarke County FFA Program by calling 504-955-6138. Please follow the directions on the answering machine and place your order. Members of the Clarke County FFA will record your order and return your call to confirm your order. As an added convenience customers may order their fruit on line this year by accessing the Clarke County FFA Web Site at http://cchs.clarke.k12.va.us/Activities/FFA/index.htm .
In addition to the freshest fruit Clarke County FFA will also be providing customers an opportunity to purchase English Bay Cookie Dough. English Bay’s golden brown cookies taste delicious and only the highest quality ingredients including pure chocolate can produce such results. English Bay frozen cookie dough has no added preservatives and uses cholesterol-free canola vegetable oil. Additionally, there are no milk products or animal fats included in the dough.
Over 10 different flavors are available in a 3 lb. vacuum sealed pail which keeps fresh for 90 days in the refrigerator or for a year in the freezer.
All fruit and cookie dough may be picked up December 7 to December 9th from 8:00am till 6:30pm. Any fruit or cookie dough not picked up by Wednesday at 6:30 pm will be available to the public beginning at 8:00am on Thursday December 10th, 2010.
A portion of the FFA fruit and cookie sales is donated each year to the Clarke County Meals on Wheels. Thank you! We appreciate your support!
