Clarke County Public Schools student nutrition provider Sodexo earned a “Gold” food safetyaudit award this week. Sodexo’s food safety audits address the company’s most important food safety standards. The random audits are conducted annually by a reputable, independent, third-party food safety auditing company.
“Sodexo’s tireless commitment to food safety is one of the many reasons we value the companyas a member of the Clarke County community and our educational team,” said Mike Murphy, Superintendent of Schools.
Sodexo says that it reinforces its strict food safety guidelines through regular employee training. According to the company, all new employees are trained with audit materials and Sodexo reinforces food safety training messages and employee safety during monthly staff meetings.
“We’re really proud of our food safety track record but we are constantly striving to improve,”said Vickie Mueller, General Manager for Sodexo in Clarke County. “Everything we do in the Division is focused on the well-being of the Clarke County students – they are our number one priority.”
Randy Trenary, CCPS Director of Operations, shared that “It has been a challenging transition, but ouremployees are doing a great job and will be working toward even greater success, options andopportunities in the months and years ahead.”
