Clarke Daily News Welcomes Student Sports Writer

cj-chinaThe Clarke Daily News is pleased to welcome a new voice to our online newspaper, CJ Cunningham. CJ is a sports enthusiast and sophomore at Clarke County High School who has volunteered to cover CCHS sports.   With the help of School Superintendent Michal Murphy, the Clarke Daily News offered students interested in journalism the opportunity to cover school sports and CJ stepped forward to accept the challenge. We are proud to have CJ onboard and look forward to his coverage of Clarke County sports.

A note from CJ:
My name is CJ Cunningham and I am a 15 year-old sophomore at Clarke County High School. I enjoy watching and playing sports. I especially enjoy watching and playing basketball, baseball, football, tennis, and hockey. My favorite sports team is the Duke University basketball team.
I’m interested in a career in sports journalism and aspire to be a renowned sports reporter. I do well in school and enjoy learning history and math. I was fortunate to travel to China last summer. It was an experience of a lifetime. I have grown up in Clarke County and enjoyed the subtlety and the close-knit community. I’m looking forward to the opportunity of writing for this online newspaper.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate our schools. Students having the ability to reach out to the community and share something about our schools. Something we can all take pride in!
CJ, I’m sure your mom and dad are proud. Good Job!
