Clarke County is under a flash food watch through Wednesday morning. A strong cold front will be moving through our area today that will bring heavy rains. The heaviest rain will fall tonight with amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible in some areas. This may cause small streams and creeks to rise out of their banks.
The massive storm front has sparked thunderstorms and tornadoes in the south and will bring heavy rains and high winds through our area. Drivers should use extreme caution when approaching high water. Do not attempt to cross high water as even a few inches of moving water can sweep a car away.
