Obituary for Barbara S. Payne

Barbara Snyder Lake Payne, 71, of Berryville, Virginia, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Payne was born September 3, 1938 in Madison County, Virginia, the daughter of Elbert and Eva Mae Hitt Snyder.
She retired as a physical therapist assistant at Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berryville.

New Law Allows Tastings in Virginia ABC Stores

During the 2010 legislative session, the General Assembly passed a bill allowing for tastings to be conducted in ABC stores. Gov. Bob McDonnell signed legislation into law, which took effect July 1, 2010.
