Discolored Water in Berryville

The Town of Berryville is advising residents that they may  experience discolored water Friday evening. A fire in the County required the fire company to withdraw a large amount of water from Berryville’s water system causing the problem. The Town said that Public Works is flushing the water lines this evening to alleviate the problem.

Residents are advised to run cold water faucets until their water runs clear. If this does not alleviate the problem they may call Clarke County Communications at 540-955-1234 this weekend to be put in touch with the Public Works Department.

If residents are still experiencing problems on Monday, they can call the Public Works Department at (540) 955-4843

WILL WE GET A REFUND ON ALL THE WATER WE WASTE TO GET CLEAR WATER????

    • I’ll be happy to pay the teeny amount my bill will go up to run the water clear knowing that the water was used to save a structure from burning to the ground and I will be thankful while writting out my check that no one was hurt in the process.

  2. Sunshine says:

While it is an inconvenience it can be countered by being thankful that it wasn’t someone’s home and that there are no reports of injury to our volunteer men and women.
