Dog Days & Peach Festival Celebrates Canine Families

Pet friendly event includes Doggie Olympics & U-Pick activities

Bluemont, VA – Dogs and their families have the run of Great Country Farms the weekend of August 11 & 12. The Dog Days Peach Festival provides dog lovers with an opportunity to share a day of canine fun with their pets. Special events include a dog agility course, K-9 nose work, Doggie Olympics and a performance from VA Foxtrotters that will make you bark! Owners are asked to leash their dogs and bring rabies certification. Complimentary canine drinking water and scooping bags provided along with Doggy goody bags. Everyone can enjoy the off leash area near the pond so bring your retriever’s favorite fetching toys and plan for them to take a dip. Farm event manager Jaclyn Jenkins notes “We love to provide a weekend devoted to dogs and their families. The farm is the perfect place to enjoy a day with your pets.” Dogs can even ride the famous Cow Train with their “siblings” as long as an adult supervises.

White peaches are at their peak for U-Pick with pre-picked available as well. BBQ and natural burgers are available at the Farm’s Roosteraunt to enjoy while listening to live music from local bands. Kids can pet and feed the friendly farm animals and roam the unique five acre playground. The Country Store features doggy items; gifts crafted by artisans as well as locally raised meat and dairy products.

  1. Hey I heard about this place on NPR this morning! Very cool!
Great to see locals make it big (even if they are in Loudoun County)
