I don’t think he’ll get to keep his license for a while. Good thing he didn’t kill anyone.

It’s a shame that Geraldine had to be the recipient of this man’s many, many, many bad decisions. I am appalled that this man still has a license…ridiculous.

  4. EagleFan says:

8/8/12 is the court date. Those are his most recent charges from this accident.

    • loulou says:

Hit and run……not this accident………..Was this for the car he hit at Triple J before he hit Geraldine?

    • lou lou says:

Hit & Run…… not this accident…….must be the car he hit at Triple J. Just say’n……..

  5. River Watcher says:

I have zero tolerance for people like him.

I’m so glad Ms.Geraldine is going to be ok.

The fines should be more costly and longer mandatory jail time.

    Conviction for DUI first offense
    Mandatory, minimum $250 fine
Driver’s license revocation for one year

    Conviction for DUI second offense
    Mandatory, minimum $500 fine
Driver’s license revocation for three years
Possible jail term up to one year

Conviction for DUI second offense within ten
years of prior offense carries the following
    additional penalty
    Mandatory, minimum ten-day jail term

Conviction for DUI second offense within five
years of prior offense carries the following
    additional penalty
    Mandatory, minimum 20-day jail term

  6. luvbville says:

Zero tolerance for DUI. Penalties need to be harsher. In the UK, Finland and Sweden 1st offense is one year in jail. In Bulgaria you die for a 2nd offense. In El Salvador 1st offense is death by firing squad. I have no issues with driking (have a glass of red wine next to me now) but if you are going to get drunk: DONT DRIVE. I hope that the victim recovers. I could not care less about the health of the drunk.

    • EagleFan says:

Thank goodness she will recover, but it won’t be a quick recovery. She’s a tough lady, so I know she will be as good as new, but she shouldn’t have to deal with this at all.

  7. jennifer says:

River Watcher you are correct. and you should run for public office. It does require a real name though. So perhaps someone else will fix things.

  8. Slap on the wrist says:

Unfortunately, habitual offender idiots such as this one seem to get such light sentences and fines or they just get behind the wheel and do it again as soon as they are released. I agree with River Watcher that the sentence needs to be higher but even RW suggestions are too light. We should be talking years instead of days with no chance of early parole. Maybe we could use these individuals as crash test dummies, test subjects for new disease cures, or just lock them in a building where they can stay drunk around the clock and we could watch them on camera to see what the long term effects of alcohol do to them.

Is there any information about the triple j hit and run? I actually know this man and I am so sorry for what he has done. Geraldine I pray for your quick recovery.
