CDN Editor: Dear Jane, you are absolutely correct, CDN should do a story on the CCHS flag guard. CDN should also cover all high school athletic events. There are also several other important  meetings, like the easement authority and Boyce Town Council to name only a few, that CDN should regularly cover.

The greatest part of writing CDN is that there are so many good and important events to cover in Clarke County. The worst part of writing CDN is that there are so many good and important events to cover in Clarke County. The reality is that CDN can’t get to everything that needs to be covered without the help of our community.
Our vision for CDN is that it truly become a “community” news source where anyone can be a writer, reporter or editor.
.
But what does that mean? It’s simple really.
.
Let’s say you attend a middle school track meet and would like to honor the participants to our community. To do this simply take some pictures of the participants on your cellphone, get the scores from the competition and ask a few questions that you think are important. Attach the pics, scores and quotes to an email and send them to ClarkeDailyNews@gmail.com.
.
Tired of the same old government processes or decisions? Outline your case and present your facts. We’ll do our best to turn your info into a story, if possible, or run it as an editorial if your “facts” lean more toward “opinion”.
.
Does the county’s policy on promoting new businesses REALLY make you hot under the collar?
.
You get the idea…
.
So far, the CDN experiment has gone way beyond our expectations and maybe your expectations as well.  It’s clear from our reader’s comments that people in Clarke County feel a deep sense of commitment to our community.  But we believe that with your help  CDN can make an even bigger difference in our community with your help.
.
Send us your pictures, your ideas, your stories. We can’t commit to use everything that may come along, but we’ll do our best to try.
.
Let’s take CDN to the next level together.
