‘Farm to Fair’ Art Exhibit Coming to the Barns of Rose Hill

Berryville’s Barns of Rose Hill has announced the opening reception for a new exhibit, “Farm to Fair: Art celebrating our agricultural heritage and all things Fair.” The exhibit celebrates the long tradition of the Clarke County Fair and will open the same day as the Clarke County Fair.

Nearly 40 artists working in a wide variety of mediums, including fiber arts, oil, acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, collage, stained glass and photography had their work selected for the show.

Some artists were inspired by the library of Clarke County Fair photographs made available by local photographers Douglas Graham, Bonnie Jacobs and Pam Lettie, whose book on the Clarke County Fair is available at the Clarke County Fair Office.

The artists’ and opening reception will be August 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Barns of Rose Hill, 95 Chalmers Court (parking available at The Town County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, VA 22611). Artist contact information is available upon request.

The show will remain on display in the main gallery until September 22. For more information about Berryville’s Barns of Rose Hill, call 540-955-2004.
