Foot Path Stays Open to Pedestrians

Plans to keep the Berryville pedestrian path that parallels Main Street open to foot traffic have been  successfully implemented much to the delight of area walkers, joggers and students. Despite rainy conditions that have slowed school construction progress, foot path changes appear to be less susceptible to stormy skies than other parts of the project.

“As there has been quite a bit of interest voiced in the new high school walking path along Main Street, this morning our construction manager Mike  Castelli took the attached photos of the work in progress” reported Clarke County School Board member Robina Bouffault (White Post).

“It is well advanced. In one of the photos you can see the large amount of  rock that Shockey had to take out to effect the 4′ cut on that portion of  the path” Bouffault said.

As the walking path changes progress, progress requiring dry weather and less-muddy soils may not take place anytime soon. The National Weather Service predicts A chance of thunderstorms  every day through the end of the week.
