The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s members are women age 18 or over who can prove their lineage to an American Revolution Patriot (soldier, supplier of goods and services, etc.). The Fort Loudounchapter charter encompasses the Counties of Frederick and Clarke and the City of Winchester. Our members primarily live in these areas as well as nearby Virginia and West Virginia counties. The Fort Loudoun Chapter does not have a resident genealogist, so all “proofs” must be supplied by the applicant. Please contact Diane Miller at the information supplied above if you are interested in becoming a member of the Fort Loudoun Chapter, NSDAR .
DAR members perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence; they promote the development of an enlightened public opinion and foster patriotic citizenship. These are the objects of our Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. The Society is one of the world’s largest, most active women’s service organizations, and is dedicated to historic preservation, education and patriotism. Its more than 165,000 members in approximately 3000 chapters worldwide descend from men and women who supported the American cause during the Revolutionary War.
