Tommy Adolphus Hawkins, 55, of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away Thursday at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born to Jesse Hawkins and Nadine E. Martin in Leesburg Virginia, on September 28, 1954.
He was self employed and worked in Lawn care.
Surviving are his dad, of Woodstock VA; 2 sisters, Jill Tennyson Dodson of Millville, WV and Dorothy Hawkins Rodgers of Berryville, VA, and his trusted dog, who was his companion and friend, Blackie Poo. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Brother, Jesse Anthony Hawkins.
Tommy loved the land and was able to live off of it. They were his friends. He knew the ways of Mother Earth that he had been taught to him by his father. He was the beloved son of his mother, the late Nadine Hawkins, whom he has joined in eternity.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home in Berryville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P. M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
