Letter to the Editor: Thanks to REC & Comcast

My wife and I would like to express our thanks to the crews from REC who arrived early this morning. I know REC has taken a beating in the news, but the line crews have been fantastic. Living in the Shenandoah Retreat we are normally forgotten and ignored. (I wish we could get this kind of attention from Clarke County and our County Representative.) The guys have been very friendly and their response time has been pretty amazing. Comcast also deserves a pat on the back as well. While we freely complain about them – they do also deserve our thanks. To the crews of REC and Comcast, your efforts are appreciated.

  1. My 2 Cents says:

I’m Sorry but for the money REC is charging us they even getting a Thank You from me will never happen! This Monopoly is a joke and the old timers running that business could care less about us little ants! Well be ready REC, because we are all gonna fight this tooth and nail~

  2. I would like to know what happened to follow up info on the story on the weapon discharge last week. It seems that info has been put to bed real fast. I am sure a lot of folks wonder what has really happened.

  3. My 2 Cents – While electric costs impact everyone we should respect the linesmen and a good job accomplished. They only work for REC and don’t make the decisions you clearly don’t agree with. Their hard work is appreciated and more than often, under bad weather conditions.

The Robinson’s were giving credit where credit was due…to the backbone of REC & Comcast…the crews.
