Country singer, Luke Bryan, will be the feature entertainment at the 56th Annual Clarke County Fair on Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Berryville, Virginia. His debut album in 2007 featured the hit “All My Friends Say.” His second album, Doin My Thing, has garnered him a chart-topping single in “Do I” and the fun-loving song “Rain is a Good Thing.” Luke Bryan recently won the Academy of Country Music Top New Artist Award as well as the Top New Solo Vocalist.
Luke Bryan will perform the closing evening of the Clarke County Fair on Saturday, August 14th at 8:30 p.m. Track seats cost $25 and grandstand seats cost $20. Tickets go on sale June 5 at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds and will be available at the Ticket Office every Saturday and Sunday from 5-7 p.m. Tickets can also be ordered via mail. Other musical entertainment of the Fair is singer-songwriter, Amanda Mackintosh, who will be performing Wednesday, August 11th at 6 pm. She will be releasing her debut album of contemporary country and bluegrass songs called Shenandoah in the summer of 2010.
Rock & Roll night featuring The Doozees (formerly The Cruisers) will be held Thursday, August 12th at 8 pm. This energetic group performs chart-topping songs from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
The Clarke County Fair is schedule for August 8-14th in Berryville, VA. Other entertainment includes the Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers during the opening ceremony on Sunday, August 8 at 5:30 p.m. The Appalachian Hoedowners from Crocket, VA will bring their toe-tapping show to the fair on Saturday, August 14th. And of course, all the old favorites will still be there- the Miss Clarke County Fair, Junior Miss Clarke County Fair and Little Miss contests, pig scrambles, demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, lawn mower racing, bull riding, livestock exhibits and the carnival rides.
