Minor Quake Shakes Southwest Virginia

The US Geological Survey has reported an earthquake in Southwest Virginia. The minor quake measured 2.5 on the richter scale and occurred at approximately 3:26 AM Monday morning. The center of the quake was 2 miles from the town of Pulaski and which is approximately 20 miles west of Blacksburg, Va.

There have been no reports of damage. The USGS website has received a handful of reports from people who said they felt the quake, the farthest report came from Chesapeake Va.
