Missing 14-Year-Old Jennifer Sanford Located in Knoxville

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office announced on February 5th that they had located missing 14-year-old, Jennifer K. Sanford in Knoxville, TN.

Sanford was last seen on December 2, 2010 when she left for school. Her parents reported her missing. It was believed that she was in the company of Nicky Liu, a 20-year-old man from Berryville, VA.

LCSO investigators received information that indicated she was in Knoxville. They contacted Knoxville police, who issued a press release asking for the public’s help. A citizen responded with a possible location and Knoxville police located Jennifer at a motel. Nicky Liu was arrested and has been charged there with a sexual offense. He is being held on $1 million bond and will have a hearing next week.

Jennifer has been reunited with her parents. The investigation is continuing and Liu may face additional charges in Loudoun Co. Federal authorities may also become involved.

Let’s see: crossing state lines with a minor, BEING with a minor NOT his own child, basically kidnapping…and we can only HOPE nothing else, just the trip occurred…yup. He is going to the big house. This puppy should not be free for fifty years minimum. [redacted] IF he makes it out in those fifty years alive.

O boy, not much kindness here, both of these kids, yes I am calling the 20 year old a kid, are in a heap of trouble, one with the law and one with her parents. I feel so sorry for Nicky and he’s parents. I’ve had him do volunteer work at the fairground once before and found him to be a nice respectful kid, now he will enter the system and because of his stupidity his life will be ruined. So sad.

Stupidity? He is 20, she is 14. Nice “kid” or not, he commitied a crime. Try convicting her parents what a nice kid he is. A 20 year old kid shouldn’t have sex with a 14 year old. I guess the girls over 18 don’t appeal to him. I’m sure all pedophiles started being interested in young girls in their 30s, not in their 20s.

I am not trying to minimizing his crime. He will be branded a pedophile for the rest of his life and probably spend a long time in jail for it. Assuming the trial shows he is guilty than he will deserve it. I have no sympathy for pedophiles and believe they should be watched for the rest of their life if and/or when they get out of jail. I am just expressing my disappointment in another CC kid going down that slippery slope of crime and probably be in and out of the justice system for the rest of his life.
