It’s hard to believe, but true! Movies have returned to Berryville!
This provocative, award-winning 2009 documentary travels through a century of cinema’s treatment of Native Americans, from the silent era to present day. The movie includes clips from hundreds of films, including Stagecoach, Little Big Man, The Outlaw Josey Wales, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It features interviews with both the famous (Clint Eastwood) and the not-so-famous (Navajo Elders).
“An imaginative journey through the shifting stereotypes Hollywood has used to obscure [American Indian] history.” (NY Times).
