National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Remebering 9/11 Poster Contest

Soon, America and all Americans will stop and remember the horror of September 11, 2001.   From the ashes in New York City, in the Pennsylvania farmland, and at the Pentagon, America saw horror beyond belief and heroism that will forever be discussed and embraced.   We all have stories about where we were on that date and we continue to move forward to never let those that died be forgotten.

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children, works continuously towards this goal.   Recently, one chapter member, Barbara Chaplin, submitted a poster at the District V meeting that not only WON District V FIRST place but also FIRST place for the State of Virginia.   Our Fort Loudoun Chapter, NSDAR, is very proud of Barbara for her work to develop this poster.   Each block of the poster has a specific meaning.   The first is:   Life is Precious.   The second is:   Terrorists Destroy.   The third is:   Unite! Defend! Persevere!
