New Clarke County High School Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Schedule of Events

Clarke County Public Schools have released the following event schedule for Saturday’s dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony:

Location:  627 Mosby Boulevard, Berryville, VA 22611

Date:               Saturday, April 28, 2012

Time:             11:00 AM

Students, staff, parents, guardians, former graduates and community members are invited to attend the new Clarke County High School dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place immediately outside the front entrance to the school.

The Clarke County High School Screaming Eagles Band will lead students, staff and community members who wish to walk from the current Clarke County High School and D.G. Cooley Elementary School in an informal celebration parade.

Self-guided tours of the new school will immediately follow this event.

Students in grades 9-12 should assemble no later than 10:40 a.m. in front of the Cafeteria Entrance of the current high school.

Middle School students should assemble no later than 10:40 a.m. in front of the Gym Entrance of the current high school.

Elementary school students should assemble no later than 10:40 a.m. in front of the main entrance to D.G. Cooley Elementary School.

Students in Grades K-8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Parking Directions – Use Mosby Boulevard to access the new student and staff parking lots, located directly east (in front of) of the school.

Parking – The bus entrance on Business 7 will be closed and there is no access to the school from Coleman’s Lane. Overflow parking is available at D.G. Cooley Elementary School and the current Clarke
County High School.

Rain – In case of rain the event will be held in the open lunch area at the new Clarke County High School.

Celebration Parade – Join the Clarke County High School Screaming Eagles Band as we process from the old school to the new Clarke County High School! The Band leaves CCHS at 10:45 a.m.
