“Dance as though no one is watching you, love as though you have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear you, live as though heaven is on earth.”
Carolyn was born January 20, 1948, in Washington, DC, the daughter of Jack J. and Lila Mae Torregrossa. She was a 1966 graduate of McLean High School.
Carolyn was a homemaker, owner of Jeans Ltd., in Purcellville, VA, and a partner in High View Farm, Berryville, VA.
She was a member of Crums United Methodist Church in Berryville, VA.
She married Craig Hagaman in 1966.
Surviving to cherish her memory with her husband and parents are her daughter, Teresa Gentry and her husband, Tony of Broadlands, VA; her son Craig Hagaman of Berryville, VA; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Torregrossa of McLean, VA, and her twin sister, Diane Forbus of Dadeville, AL; and 5 grandchildren – Brittany Hagaman, Hunter Hagaman and Chase Hagaman all of Berryville, VA; and Savanna Gentry and Alyssa Gentry both of Broadlands, VA.
Carolyn profoundly touched the lives of everyone she met through her generous compassion, sincere kindness and zeal for life. She left an imprint on our lives that will not be forgotten as each of us remembers when she held us up, held our hand, wiped our tears, listened to our thoughts and shared our joy. We are honored to have known her and privileged to have been able to call her daughter, sister, wife, mother and most of all, friend.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., at Carolyn and Craig’s home, High View Farm.
