Clifton H. Hodge, 84, of Berryville, Virginia died Tuesday in Golden Living Center, Berryville. Mr. Hodge was born in 1927 in Marion, Virginia the son of the late George and Flora Hodge. He retired after 22 years as a heavy equipment operator for Rouse Company in Columbia, Maryland.
Mr. Hodge married Reva M. Hutsler Craig in 1967. Surviving with his wife is two sons, Michael Hodge and his wife, Valerie, of Mount Airy, Maryland, Larry Hodge and his wife, Terry, of Westminster, Maryland; three daughters, Debbie Harner and her husband, Rusty, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Roxanne Becker and her husband, Jeff, of Mount Airy, Maryland, Barbara McDonald of Westminster, Maryland and a step-daughter, Donna Craig of Silver Spring, Maryland; 10 Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Hodge and his wife, Kate, of Elkton, Maryland, James Hodge and his wife, Roma Jean, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania and Roy Hodge and his wife, Sharon, of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; and one sister, Georgia Hauphman of Cockysville, Maryland.
Mr. Hodge was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sharon Hodge-Yowell; three brothers, Robert Hodge, H. Clifton Hodge and Edward Hodge; seven sisters, Dolly Fletcher, Emma Dampman, Elizabeth Howard, Nannie Hodge, Nellie Wolfe, Hazel Baublitz, and B. Pauline Vannoy.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Preacher Paul Campbell officiating.
Interment will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Schevlean, Louis Hutsler, James Bender, Michael W. Hodge, Matthew Hodge and Marcus Hodge.
