Dorothy Ann Louthan, 75, of Berryville, Virginia, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Louthan was born January 26, 1936 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John F. and Mary Murray Duggan.
She was the bookkeeper for Shady Grove Farm.
She was the past President of the National Association of Conservation in West Virginia; was a member of the NACD Ladies Auxiliary from 1986-1987; was the past President of the Rippon Homemakers Club from 1980-1981; was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church; and was the past Vice President of the United Methodist Women’s Club at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.
She married James Lee Louthan on November 24, 1957 in Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Louthan died on June 4, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, James Mark Louthan of Berryville, VA and Wade D. Louthan of Jefferson County, WV and his wife Julie; a sister, Nancy E. Warne of Sunbury, PA; and three grandchildren, Anna, Caroline and Lee Daniel.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, Berryville with Rev. William K. Dawson officiating. Burial will be in green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Lake, Johnny Hardesty, Lee Daniel Louthan, Mark Raab, Stanley Stiles and Tom Wolfe.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P. M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Thursday at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville.
