Obituary for Duane Keith Jones

Family and Friends mourn the loss of a friendly and caring man on October 12, 2011.  Duane Keith Jones reunited in God’s Kingdom with his father, John Wayne Jones, paternal grandparents, John Wesley and Jessie Jones, and maternal grandparents, William and Waneta Carter.

In addition to his mother, Charlotte Carter Jones, he is survived by his daughter, Andrea Michelle Wilson and her husband, Brian of Winchester; a granddaughter, Ava Madison Wilson; his son, Oliver Keith Jones of Moorefield, WV; and two sisters, Lisa Jones Hummer and her husband, Kenneth and son, Matthew of Berryville, VA and Jennifer Jones Sechrist and daughters, Camaryn and Caelyn of Marshall, VA.

As Keith struggled to recuperate from brain tumor surgery, he courageously lost his battle to other medical complications at University of Virginia Medical Center where he won the hearts of his doctors and nurses with his polite yes mams, yes sirs, please and famous thank you, thank yous!  Anyone who was blessed to have met Keith will attest to his friendly, caring, kind, and mannerly disposition.

Father, son, brother, Uncle Keiffie, and friend rest peacefully, painlessly, and triumphantly in the arms of your God and heavenly loved ones.  You will forever be loved, cherished, and missed.  Thank you! Thank you! for who were to all of us.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 P. M. Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Berryville Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Burial will be private.
