Elizabeth Hayward “Kicks” Presnikoff passed away peacefully on July 20th at Greenfield Assist Living in Berryville, Va., after a long fought battle with brain cancer. Born March 5th, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, New York, her father was Count Igor I. Presnikoff and her mother was Cornelia I. Hayward Presnikoff.
Elizabeth graduated from Prince William County High School in Manassas as an honor student and cheerleader after which she attended West Hampton in Richmond, VA, and went on to graduate from The University of Rochester in New York state with a mathematical degree. Following college she went to work in New York City in a stock brokerage firm followed by managing Top Notch Ski Resort in Stowe, Vermont. She then moved on to an interior decorating firm headquartered in San Francisco, California.
In later years she moved to Boyce, Va., where her mother lived, and took an office position at Roseville Veterinary Hospital. Her last place of employment was Clarke County Properties where she was a real estate agent and property appraiser. She was also an equestrian Combined Training Photographer.
Elizabeth fox hunted with Casanova Hunt and Genesee Valley hunt on a regular basis in her youth but skiing and tennis were her passion for many years. She has also been raising Norwich Terriers, switched to Norfolk Terriers and had a litter of Tibetan Spaniels born just weeks before her death.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Anne Wilkins; her nieces, Chalane Hayward and Valerie Rushing; several unknown nieces and nephews; also step nieces and nephews, Diana W. White, Wendy Watkins, William B. Watkins, Frazer Watkins and their spouses.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 29th at 1:00 P. M. at Grace Episcopal Church, at the small chapel, in Berryville, Va.
Her wish was to be buried with her father in New Jersey.
