Freida June Crim, 80, of Winchester, VA died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
She was born April 1, 1931 in Clarke County, VA, the daughter of Lloyd C. Sr. and Eleanor Dodson White. She graduated from Clarke County High School in 1950. Freida married Harry Benjamin “Ben” Crim, Sr. on August 29, 1953 in Berryville, VA.
Freida was co-owner and operator of The Country Store Enterprises and Country Store Antiques for many years. She was also co-owner of M.C. Company, C&C Optical and Storekeepers Pride.
Along with her husband of 57 years, Ben, she is survived by her son, Harry Benjamin “Benji” Crim ,Jr. and his wife, Bridget, of Winchester; her daughter, Sharon Crim Linkous and her husband, Robert, of Dayton, MD; her four grandchildren, Stephanie Crim Noel and her husband, Gabriel J., John Robert Linkous, Richard Owen Linkous and Charles Alan Linkous and her two brothers, Lloyd White, Jr. of Stephens City and Bobbie White of Derwood, MD.
A brother, Kenneth White preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael C. Mohn officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby L. Crim Jr., James D. Crim, Ronald A. Crim, David I. Crim, Allan Crim, and Joshua Crim.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
