Obituary for Harold Huff

Harold Nelson Huff, 82, of Winchester, VA, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at his residence.

He was born May 25, 1927 in Winchester; the son Raymond W. and Hazel Ray Owens Huff. He served with the US Army during WWII. He was a cab driver with Berryville Cab. He belonged to the VFW, the American Legion and the Moose Club all in Berryville, VA.

He married Lena G. Helmick on August 23, 1955 in Winchester. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2004.

Mr. Huff is survived by three sons, Steve Huff of Burkesville, VA, Ray Huff of Winchester, and Buster Huff of Berryville; three daughters, Charlene Van Horn of Clarke County, VA, Debra Brown of Cumberland, VA and Janet Carter of Winchester; seven grandsons, seven granddaughters, two great grandsons, seven great granddaughters and a brother, Claude Allen Huff of Harpers Ferry, WV.

He is also survived by his loving companion of 14 years, his dog, Crackerjack.

Two sons, Randy Huff and Tim Huff and one grandson, John Paul Huff preceded him in death.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville with Pastor John J. Manning officiating.

Pallbearers will be Randall Huff, Justin Huff, Ryan Huff, Franklin Huff, Tony Pinares, and Shane Brown.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
