Obituary for Henry Carlton Pyne

BIOGRAPHY

Henry Carlton Pyne, 67, of Millville, West Virginia, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Pyne was born November 9, 1942 in Clarke County, Virginia, the son of William A. Pyne, Sr. and Corine Kent Pyne.
He was a carpenter.
He served in the Army National Guard for 21 years.
He was a member of the American Legion in Berryville and the Moose Lodge 948 in Charles Town, West Virginia.
Surviving with his wife, Lennis V. Pyne, are two sons, Alan Pyne of Michigan and Kenneth Pyne of Millville, WV; two sisters, Eleanor Surface and Lena Harmon; a brother, William A. Pyne, Jr.; four step-grandchildren and 1 step- great-granddaughter.
Graveside Rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville with Pastor Dennis Elsea officiating.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Bemusdaffer, Larry Lloyd, James Pyne, Tony D’Angelo, Bobby Huff, and Steve Hummer.
The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Saturday evening at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Ct., Martinsburg, WV 25403.

Editor’s note: Henry Carlton Pyne’s wfe, Lennis, was Postmaster of the Millwood Post Office for many years. Henry and Lennis lived on Linden Lane near the post office.
