Obituary for Jacquelyn Ray (Jackie) Green

Jacquelyn Ray (Jackie) Green passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2012 in Leesburg, Virginia.

Jackie was a mother, a wife, a friend, and angel.  Many described her as being genuine, honest, a leader, wonderful, the hardest worker, and above all, loving.  She gave her life for another to live, just like Jesus did. She put others first in all she did, especially her family.  Jackie was loved by many because of her wonderful spirit and servant’s heart; she truly was an angel in disguise.  Her children & husband will carry on her legacy and shining spirit.  Jackie Green will never be forgotten, but will always be loved and missed deeply.

Jackie was a dedicated employee with Gulf Power for 22 years and a faithful member of the Cross Road Baptist Church for 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Neal Mortenson and son, Daniel “Scotty” Basden.

Survivors include her loving husband, John Edward Green; children, Cameo Landry, Errin Green, Zachariah Green, Seth Green; grandchildren, Alyssa Landry and Aliyah Landry.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 10, 2012 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2012 at Cross Road Baptist Church with Pastor Wallace Nichols officiating.
