Myra Ellen Glaize Levi, 92, of Berryville, Virginia, passed away on November 7, 2010, at Hilltop House Assisted Living, Winchester, VA.
Mrs. Levi was born September 8, 1918, in Charles Town, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Walter H. Glaize and Susan Fellers Glaize. She married Edward C. Levi on January 1, 1938, in Frederick, Maryland. He preceded her in death in February 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward C. Levi, Jr., in November 1984; two sisters, Grace Glaize Carper and Virginia Glaize; and five brothers, Abner, Elmer, Martin, Walter, and Olin Glaize. She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Berryville.
Surviving Mrs. Levi are her daughter, Gail Levi Kercheval, and son-in-law, Ronald Kercheval, of Winchester, Virginia; four grandchildren, Charles Levi of Houston, Texas; Keith Levi of Berryville; and Darrin Levi and Carman Levi Dodge of Winchester; three great grandchildren, Ronald Dodge, Jr., and Darrin Levi, Jr., of Winchester; and Patricia Dodge of New Haven, Connecticut; and one great-great grandchild, Riley Forster of New Haven.
A service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 10, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, 210 E. Main Street, Berryville, with the Rev. William K. Dawson officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to the service, 1:00 P. M. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.
Pallbearers will be Sam Levi, Kevin Levi, Billy Sours, Doug Sours, and David Sours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, 210 E. Main St., Berryville, VA 22611, or to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
