Mr. Delgros was born November 23, 1946 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of George and Teresa Stacconi Delgros.
He was a technical fabrication designer employed as a project manager at Fabritek and Winchester Tool, Winchester, Virginia.
Rick’s life centered around what it means to love and be loved. This is evident through his always friendly, humorous and loving disposition towards family, friends, co-workers or people he just met. It is evident through the hundreds of woodworking projects made especially for those he loved and cared about.
All his grandchildren enjoyed being with him, working in the woodshop and playing the many made-up games that only Rick could create. It is evident in the delight he got in planting his garden and the delight others experienced when he shared his nurtured peppers and tomatoes with them.
It was evident in his final days when he opened his eyes and saw all of his loved ones at his side and smiled towards them once more. Love wasn’t just a word to Rick, it was a way of life. This is his legacy. We will always be grateful for the love and wisdom he left with all of us.
He married Lydia Delgros on February 27, 1993 in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Cindy Delgros Orris and her husband, Bennie of Twinsburg, OH, Melissa Cox and her husband, Steve of Akron, OH, Danielle McAfee and her husband, Tim of Chazy, NY and Lori Ann Stallard and her husband, Eric of Ashburn, Virginia; three brothers, Ed Delgros, Tom Delgros and Jim Delgros all of Sharon, PA; two sisters, Judi Delgros of Wheaton, PA and Phyllis Delgros of Sharon, PA; and eight grandchildren, Drew, Julia, Bryan, Sydney, Jackie, Dylan, Evan and Connor.
