Obituary for Robert H. Lilly

Robert Howard Lilly, 61, of Berryville, Virginia, died Friday, July 16, 2010 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.

Mr. Lilly was born May 6, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the son of George Moses and Nancy Carolyn Howard Lilly.

He had worked as the Chief of Operations for the Town of Leesburg.

He was a member of the American Blacksmith Association.

He married Mary Keith Hinshelwood Lilly on September 23, 1972 in Richmond, Virginia.

Surviving with his father of Falls Church, VA and wife, are two sons, Stephen Donald Lilly and John Robert Lilly both of Berryville; a sister, Lyn Rivero and her husband, Victor of Falls Church, VA; and two brothers, James “Jed” Edmond Lilly and his wife Ginny of Winchester, VA and William “Bill” Heppenstall of Myrtle Beach, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Rev. Debbie Parsons officiating. Burial will be private.

Honorary pallbearers will be James “Jed” Lilly, William “Bill” Heppenstall, Chuck Welsh, O. J. Jackson, Paul Arbogast, Tom Mason, Ken Bryan and Kemp Littlepage.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. – 12:00 Noon Saturday morning prior to the service at the funeral home.
