Robert Paul Ohl, 87, of Berryville, Virginia, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 in a local nursing home.
Mr. Ohl was born October 1, 1923 in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, the son of Milton Franklin and Katie E. Houser Ohl.
He was retired from Genstar Stone Products where he was a Chemist.
He was a member of the Winchester Elks Lodge; Winchester Moose; American Chemical Society; and Church of the Good Shepherd, Winchester.
He married Mildred Helen Zellner Ohl on May 15, 1948 in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Ruth Smale and her husband, Frank of Round Hill, VA and Donna Stevens and her husband, Dennis of Roanoke, VA; and three grandchildren, Mark Smale of Ashburn, VA and Christopher and Tiffany Stevens both of Roanoke, VA.
Two sisters, Maybel Peterson and Ida Greenbaum and two brothers, Charles and Marvin Ohl preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Rev. Vernon Bray officiating. Burial will be in Grand Army Cemetery, Summit Hill, PA.
