Winston Homer Presgraves, 81, of Berryville, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Presgraves was born September 9, 1929 in Clarke County, Virginia, the son of the late William Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Foster Presgraves.
He was a mechanic and a machinist for 30 years at Double Day. He was also a farmer and had worked for Dowdy Air Space.
He had served in the U. S. Army.
He attended Keystone Baptist Church.
He married Reba Corrine Woodward Presgraves in August 1972.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, Randall D. Presgraves of Stephens City, VA, Mark R. Presgraves of Fallon, NV, Jeff S. Presgraves of Winchester, VA and Dwayne E. Presgraves of Ashburn, VA; a daughter, Deborah Johnson of South Point, OH; a sister, Margaret Self of Lebanon Church, VA; a brother, Marvin Presgraves of Dixon, TN; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A son, Terry Allen “Tic” Presgraves, a sister, Verna Mae Tomblin and a brother, Kenneth Elwood Presgraves preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A. M. Monday, April 18, 2011 in the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, with Pastor Doug Wright officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
Pallbearers will be George E. Costello, Gordon Colvin, Ellis M. Costello, Sr., Dwayne Welsh, Franklin Painter, Herbert Dunlap, Henry Woodward and Kevin Thompson.
Military honors will be provided.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P. M. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
