Paws and Claws – Dizzy on Dogs

Dizzy wants to be your companion - Photo Clarke County Animal Shelter

Hello everyone!

I hope you enjoyed the cold weather tips from last week! They’ll sure come in handy when you adopt one of us from the shelter!

Anyway, my name is “Dizzy.” I am about 6 to 7 years old, and I’m just now hitting my prime! They tell me I am a min-pin mixed with beagle. I am a neutered male, weighing about 25 pounds.

That means I would even be great as an apartment dog!

I have current DHLPP (distemper, parvo) and Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccines. However, I will still need a rabies vaccine before I can go home.

I am a very sweet, active young man, who is partially house-trained. I know I can get the hang of it, but I need someone patient enough to work with me. I get along with other dogs too! But the shelter staff recommends that if you have other dogs at home, to bring them with you when you visit.

I have been here since August 11th, and it wasn’t really my fault. My previous family was told they had to get rid of me, and my two brothers, “Bear” and “Rufus” because of our living conditions. “Bear” and “Rufus” have both been adopted already, just leaving me here all by myself!

The girls are taking really good care of me! I don’t have worms or fleas! And I love it! They really love me here, but they want me to find a really good home where someone will love me and take really good care of me!

Could that be you?!

If you have any questions about me or any of my furry friends, call the Clarke County Animal Shelter at (540) 955 – 5104, and pick option number and remember to ask for Brittany or Jenny.

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween everyone!
