Paws & Claws – Furry Fling a Huge Success

Hey there!

The girls at the shelter asked me to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Fall Fling For Furry Friends and supported the animal shelter. It was a huge success, not only in making the community aware of their purpose, but in helping fundraising too! The girls said they were exhausted when they got home, which means they had a great time!

Anyway, down to business….

Demetrius is a domestic short hair, 3-year-old neutered male available now at the Clarke County Animal Shelter

My name is Demetrius, and I am currently living in the cat condo at the Clarke County Animal Shelter. And I love it there, but I sure do wish someone would come take me home with them. I had a home, but my owner had to get rid of me, and several of my brothers and sisters.

I am such a sweet boy, and I just know I can make someone very happy. I am a domestic short hair, 3 year old, neutered male. I am good with children and dogs, and I am house trained. The girls were originally told I was deaf, but I showed them that I am really not. So you see, even though I am solid white, and quite handsome I might add, I can hear just fine!

I have a current feline vaccine, which will help protect me from feline distemper. I also have a current rabies shot that is good through August 16, 2013. And the girls even wormed me and gave me flea medicine! I know this must mean that they want me to find a really good home!

If you have any questions about me then you can call Brittany or Jenny at 540) 955 – 5104.

Of course you can always drop by for a visit too. Myself, and all my other furry friends, are located at 225 Ramsburg Lane, Berryville, Virginia 22611.

And you can always view us at

Our shelter hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 AM to 4 PM. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we are open 8 AM to 3:30 PM.

I hope to see you all very soon!

P.S. – Winter and the Holidays are just around the corner and these cats and dogs would love to celebrate with a new family!
