Paws & Claws: Shelter Pets to Participate in Christmas Parade

Hello everyone!

The staff here at the animal shelter wants to thank everyone for everything they do for the shelter throughout the year. However, Christmas is just around the corner, and we would like to talk you about that.

Might Diego, a shitzu mix, 9 year old neutered male, spend the holidays with you?

As you all know the annual Berryville Christmas Parade is this Saturday. Look for the animal shelter! Jenny Wright, shelter manager, and several of our volunteers will be walking dogs in the parade. All of the animals featured on Saturday will be available for adoption! Each person walking a dog should be able to tell you a little bit about the animal they will be walking. All you will have to do is just stop by the shelter following the parade to adopt.

Each and everyone of the animals at the shelter is patiently awaiting their forever home.

And this being the Christmas season, we try our hardest to make it a special time of year for the animals.

  • Dry and Canned Dog Food
  • Dry and Canned Cat Food
  • Kitten Food
  • Bedding, such as blankets and sheets
  • Towels
  • Cat Litter, Clay or Clumping
  • Dog and Cat Toys
  • Old Newspapers

And of course, monetary donations are always welcome. We rely on the kindness and generosity of the public to help us make things possible for the animals at the shelter.

And….. shelter calendars are now on sale. They are $10.00, and all of the money raised from them feeds back into the Clarke County Humane Foundation! And of course, without the Humane Foundation many of the things we do at the shelter would not be possible!

Lance is a 6-8 month old, domestic short-haired male hoping to find a home for the holidays.

With that being said, we want to wish EVERYONE a very Merry Christmas, and we hope to see your faces at the shelter sometime soon!
