Description: This 4-day event commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Confederacy’s first invasion of the North, on September 15, 1862, when Maj. Gen. “Stonewall” Jackson surrounded and captured the 12,700-man Union garrison stationed at Harpers Ferry. Includes hikes; ranger talks; keynote lectures including Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust, President of Harvard University; musical programs, a panel discussion, and youth activities.
