The new electric utility provider for Berryville and Clarke counties, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) will host a reception and information session for members at the Berryville Clarke County Government Center on Tuesday, July 13.
REC will provide refreshments for members in the lobby atrium beginning at 6 p.m. Staff members will be present to meet area residents and answer individual questions. A question and answer information session will follow from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room on the second floor of the Government Center. Members are encouraged to attend to learn more about their Cooperative. The Berryville-Clarke Government Center is located at 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville.
The Cooperative provides electric service to over 154,000 connections in parts of 22 Virginia counties. With its general office in Fredericksburg, Va., Rappahannock maintains more than 15,500 miles of power lines through its service area, which ranges from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the tidal waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
