Redskins Albert Haynesworth Charged with Assault

Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been officially charged with assault. The twenty-nine year old appeared with his attorney at the Reston District Police Station today (February 12, 2011) at approximately 10 A.M. where Haynesworth was interviewed by Fairfax County Police. After his interview he signed a summons releasable warrant charging him with assault and left.

The charge stems from an allegation of assault that took place on February 2, 2011 around 9 a.m. following a traffic altercation.

Haynesworth is scheduled to appear in the Fairfax County Criminal Court at 9:30 a.m. on March 31, 2011
