Thanks go out to CCHS senior and School Board student member Conor Mettenberg for an inside look at what’s happening throughout the Clarke County Schools:

General School Happenings

–          CCP’S Spring Musical Into the Woods preformed this weekend

Money raised will to support fine arts programs and preforming arts scholarship

CCHS and JWMS students participated

–          Spring Break April 2nd –  9th

All students VERY grateful about the extra day off

–          Quarter ending division-wide this week

–          State Wide Tornado Drill conducted starch 20th

 

Johnson Williams Middle School

–          JWMS mid-year band concert held March 14th

Both concert and Jazz ensembles preformed

–          Future Chef competition held March 15th

Several JWMS students competed to create a healthy and delicious breakfast

–          8th Grade Scheduling currently ongoing

Student meetings held March 21 st and 22nd

Parent meeting held March 21 st

–          CCHS Drumline to perform for JWMS students – March 29th

 

Boyce Elementary School

–          Students attended a presentation of Theater IV’s rendition of “Jack and the Bean Stock’

–          Students were joined by participants from Clarke County’s Senior Center

–          BOYCE LIVE! Annual Student Talent & Variety Show – March 30th

 

Clarke County High School

–          Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee (SAC) planning new high school opening ceremony

Practice ceremony to be conducted within the next two weeks

Student led

SAC to conduct tours following the ceremony

SAC members will give tours of new high school

–          All students very excited

–          Senior class trip planned – Hershey Park, Pennsylvania

Participating seniors to travel to Hersey park on June 8th

–          SOL, IB and AP review commencing
